About HJ Chae

HJ Chae has studied in BFA and MFA of Painting in Fine Arts at HongIk University in Seoul, South Korea. She continued pursuing an MA degree at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Dance and Technology at Ohio State University with Prof. Johannes Birringers. Later she obtained the certificate in Expressive Art Therapy at JFK Univ. in California to enrich art programs for the public.

She has recently exhibited paintings for her solo exhibition in San Francisco, South Korea and France in exhibitions such as ​

  • Salon at the Triton: A 2D Art Competition and Exhibition at Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, 2025

  • Hearts in SF for SFGH Foundation at Ferry Building in SF, 2025

  • PLAS Art Show in Seoul, 2025

and more group exhibitions worldwide.​

 

Her paintings are in private collections in France, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, and the United States. She currently provides art workshops and education to the public at spaceIN art studio in Pleasanton, California.
